Description

Self-Extinguishing PMI Structural Foam
Rifeng CR is a closed-cell rigid foam based on Polymethacrylimide (PMI) polymer, that is completely free of CFC’s. It features a Coarse Cell Size. Rifeng CR is Self-extinguishing and particularly suitable for applications in rail vehicles and watercraft, as well as high-safety interior structures in the aerospace industry.


Processing and Production
Rifeng CR can withstand high-temperature curing processes with a maximum temperature of 180°C and maximum pressure of 0.7 MPa (dependent upon density). It’s optimized for advanced curing methods such as autoclave, vacuum bag, RTM, VARTM, VARI, and HP-RTM, ensuring versatility in composite manufacturing.


Weight Saving and Adhesion
When building composite sandwich components, the Coarse Cell Size structure of Rifeng CR ensures excellent mechanical interlocking with resins. This guarantees that the resin stays at the interface, eliminating excess weight while providing superior peel strength for heavy-duty structural parts.


Thermoforming and Shaping
Rifeng CR can be easily thermoformed or CNC machined to meet stringent tolerances. High precision, pre-shaped and ready-to-use foam cores in simple or complex geometries can also be supplied by us for seamless integration into your designs.
